Hermès is presenting its new collections for the home at Milan Design Week 2019. It’s a tribute to the materials that give life to unique objects. Take a look:
A material determines a line, a pattern, an object. It can be original and telluric (granite or bronze) or, on the contrary, smooth (porcelain) and sensual (cashmere or leather). It is a source of inspiration and innovation at the heart of the creative process, initiating a dialogue between the designer and the craftsman.
Featuring items from the Hermès Home line, the current Milan exhibit explores the link between beautiful and useful objects. It encourages viewers to think about the origins of, and effort behind, everyday items like fabric, baskets, boxes, and coffee mugs.
The exhibit also highlights the link between nature and culture, emphasizing respect for the natural world and the raw materials used to create each item in the Hermès collection.
Don’t worry if you didn’t have the chance to attend this amazing exhibition, because Milan Design Week 2019 is still happening until the 14th of April. Make sure you don’t miss it!
