London Design Festival 2014 Preview
Since 2003, all things design gather up in London for the annual Design Festival. Within the festival, you can choose from over 300 events and exhibitions staged by hundreds of Partner organisations across the design spectrum and from around the world. Here is the highlight from last year’s editon, the endless Stair by dRMM.
The quick off of this year’s edition is this Saturday, the 13th and design will be flowing on the streets of London until the 21st. So you know what to expect from the London Design Festival, My Design Week, gives you the best events and exhibitions.
Designjunction 2014

Over at the 1960s Sorting Office, Designjunction showcases the very best in furniture, lighting and product design from around the world. By presenting world-class brands against stunning industrial backdrop, Designjunction offers an alternative to a traditional trade show. (18th – 21st September)
100% Design 2014
Earls Court will receive the 20th Edition of the 100% Design from 17-20 September. French designer Philippe Starck opens the show and unveils ‘Flexible Architecture’, his tile collection for Italian ceramic manufacturers Ceramica Sant’Agostino.
Tent London & Super Brands London
Over 280 companies from 29 countries will be representing the freshest design ideas. The exhibitors will be grouped into four ‘trends’: Raw, Bold and Beautiful, Frame and Refraction. (18th- 21st in Brick Lane, E1 6QL)
Decorex International
This luxury design and interiors show couldn’t take place on a different setting, the Syon Park. Decorex presents the usual mix of new products and solid craftsmanship from more than 350 exhibitors covers a range of interiors disciplines.
10 Years of Colour
Giles Miller presents a sculptural installation for the London Design Festival. His work represents changes in the use of colours over the last decade, with thousands of tabs in a latticed frame, angled to reveal their hue in a unique way. (15th – 20th Sep at the Shoreditch High Street Station)
Space and Light
An exhibition exploring the use of space and light in contemporary design in tribute to Sir John Soane’s masterful use of light and shadow in his architecture. (13th Sep – 11th Oct in Sir John Soane’s Museum Lincoln’s Inn)
