The best events during Milan Design Week 2015

Milan Design Week begins next week (8th of April) so the countdown is almost over. My Design Week made a list of the best events that you have to go on this year’s edition of Salone del Mobile – it’s a furniture fair and one of the most important trade shows in this area. It will take place from the 14th of April until the 19th of April.

Milan, in this time of year, brings together all the extravaganza of design. See for yourself:

1 Designjunction edit Milan
This year, Designjunction edit Milan takes over three floors of Casa dell’Opera Nazionale Balilla, a former school building and theatre originally built in the 1930s. 40 brands will be on that space and they are mostly British. Some of the on trend design brands that will be at Casa dell’Opera Nazionale are Tom Dixon, Case Furniture, Beyond Object, Form Us With Love and Modus. This event is part of a big role of events that will happen in the San Babila Design, a new and on trend destination where you can find 30 furniture and fashion showrooms, all within walking distance of each other. Who knows? Maybe same day the car will hit the road! The designer did an entirely new object instead of a car, something organic in shape, it looks nothing like the automobile as we know it today. Marcel Wanders always involves big drama, so this year he teamed up with LG Hausys (inventor of Hi-Macs solid surfacing).
