This is one of the most exquisite spots in the Himalayas, the ornate indoor swimming pool. The tileword is intricate blue and has crystal chandeliers hanging overhead. 4. Amangiri Canyon Point, Utah, USA

This extraordinary swimming pool was built around a massive, 165-million-year-old Entrada sandstone rock escarpment. Created by Adrian Zecha in collaboration with architects Marwan Al-Sayed, Wendell Burnette and Rick Joy, this resort is tucked within a remote valley right where Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona meet. It was in 1914 that this fabulous saltwater pool was built. Carved out of basalt rock and at a constante temperature of 82.5º F or 28º C, the pool overviews the Lérins Islands and the Mediterranean Sea. The legendary Hotel do Cap-Eden-Roc was built in 1870 by the founder of the newspaper Le Figaro, Hippolyte de Villemessant.
