Home Tour: Inside A Mid-Century Modern Home In Northen California

Home Tour: Inside A Mid-Century Modern Home In Northen California – Designed by Joseph Eichler, this California home is a dream come true for Karen and John, that wanted a not just any mid-century modern home, but one that specifically designed by the one and only Joseph Eichler. Let’s meet this incredible design project:

Luxury Safes Boca do Lobo

We fell in love with Eichler homes and mid-century modern design after seeing a nearby open house for a thoughtfully restored and renovated Eichler,” Karen says. “We decided we wanted to live in an inspiring home like that one, as a place to raise our boys and entertain friends and family.”

LIVING ROOM

The living room is really what we call the mid-century dream. The lighting is simply one of our favorite details since it takes in light from all directions, including from the ceiling skylight. Of course, we also love the sputnik chandelier that provides a sophisticated touch to the room.

All about this kitchen design is simply amazing. Starting with the kitchen backsplash from Fireclay Tile until the mid-century pendant lighting above the counters. The emerald green bar stools mixed with the tiles add the ultimate pop of color to this space.

The Nelson Saucer Bubble pendant light was purchased from YLighting and really adds a mid-century feel to space. The mid-century modern credenza mixed with the two big table lamps create a cozy yet elegant vibe that certainly won’t go unnoticed by any of their guests.

BEDROOM

In the master bedroom, Karen and John took original mahogany panels with a unique design. The yarn wall hanging above the bed was a DIY project that is definitely on our wish-list.

We love the special details that make Eichler homes unique,” Karen and John say. “We have worked hard to bring back some architectural details that were once taken away from the house, such as glass windows and warm wood materials.”
