Meet Ramy Fischler, head of RF Studio, has recently completed the refurbishing of a duplex apartment in a listed building on Place de Colombie, in Paris’ 16th arrondissement, France. Boasting its own garden and street entrance.
This exceptional pied-à-terre is situated in the 1930’s Art Deco residential complex known as the ‘Walter Buildings’ (named after its architectJean Walter). Like a skillful magician, Fischler’s artful transformation combines traditional elements with forward-thinking design interventions, creating a multi-layered interior that reinvents the apartment’s history and original aesthetic, firmly rooting it into the present day, as a result.
Ramy Fischler is a Belgian designer based in Paris, that has developed an eclectic and creative practice. He is graduated from the Ecole nationale supérieure de création industrielle ENSCI-Les Ateliers, and laureate of the Académie de France in Rome in 2010. After a short period of time, Ramy Fischler created his own agency, RF Studio, in 2011.
Among his most astounding interior projects, you can find the Twitter France headquarter, the National Gallery Cafe in London, the community kitchen restaurant Refettorio Paris in collaboration with the artist JR and Encore Heureux architect and the 5-star hotel on the Champs-Elysées Avenue.
He takes on the renovation and constant development of his taste, as well as the improvement through innovation search, and creativity. Beside his studio, Maison & Objet’s designer of 2018, has developed an artistic process that echoes the issues addressed in his different projects. This experimental process, often collaborative and transversal, led to the creation of the Heterotopia installation in 2013, presented by AD Intérieurs in collaboration with the writer Jean Baptiste del Amo and Visual Exformation.
