Our house, in the middle of the street” normally fits the rest of the neighborhood. Even though we like to give it a personal twist, we are never too bold. Or brave enought to have a completly different and innovative design.

Fortunately some people who go ‘mad’ with their architectural design. And so, today we give you some houses that are landscape statments. We belive green energy and computers will have a great impact on future houses.

The Komb house

The Komb house has panel heated water, energy efficient appliances, reuse of pluvial water and low energy LED lighting Its materials, such as wood, metal, glass and solar panels can be reused. The inside of the house is divided into areas: play, eat, sleep and cleanse.

Architect Ted Givens sketched a house that’s able (in paper) to resist a tornado. “Hydraulic levers pull the Kevlar-coated house into the ground when high-velocity winds pass by. The high-tech structure’s roof, then locks so water and wind can’t enter.”, he says.
