10th aniversary of Tonelli Design by Karim Rashid
It was during ICFF 2014 that Karim Rashid and Tonelli design celebrated their 10th year of friendship. So the italian furniture brand presented ‘kart’ and ‘tekon’, a bar cabinet with large glass wheels and a series of angular low tables. The overlapping surfaces become the focus of ‘kart’, acting as primary support elements. made of smoked, frosted and transparent glass, the planes optically appear to cross-cross. The egiptian designer designed three tables, an exclusive glass design:
The Kat table by Karim Rashid features smoked, frosted and transparent glass colliding to create an optical illusiong.
Whereas, the Tekon’s particular angles give an ffect of continuity through the glass surface. It can be placed directly on the floor or elevated with a set of feet.
Another glass concept with costumizable feet, the Splash coffe table has a magazine holder.
