St. Regis, New York City and Dior
The St. Regis in New York partned once again with a great designer, this time was Dior (also has Tiffany and Bottega Veneta suites). The 1,700-square-foot signature suite pays tribute to the designer’s Montaigne headquarters in Paris. ” “whispering gray” shades throughout the room, bows on the entryway sconces—and adore the quintessential Louis XVI-style furniture with white carved-wood framing and gold leaf accents.”
Claridge’s, London and Diane Von Furstenberg
Von Furstenberg was one of the first designers to sign hotel rooms and suites. “In fall 2010, the Belgian-born businesswoman put her exuberantly patterned stamp on London’s Art Deco icon Claridge’s hotel, decking out 20 rooms and suites in full-on Furstenberg regalia.”
Le Notre Dame, Paris and Christian Lacroix
The famed French couturier completed yet another collaboration with a parisian hotel. This time was the Notre Dame Hotel, just a few steps from the Cathedral itself. “Each of its 26 rooms are decorated in an eclectic medieval-meets-modern fashion, with carpets that are meant to resemble paving stones, faux cowhide wallpaper, exposed beams and period artwork on the walls.”
Armani Hotel, Dubai and Milan and Giorgio Armani
Inside the world’s tallest builing, Giorgio Armani launched his first of seven hotels and resorts. “guests are immersed in the sophisticated Armani lifestyle: Room and public spaces, created with a minimalist modern aesthetic, feature Eramosa stone floors, zebrawood paneling, custom-created furnishings and accents.”
Tortuga Bay Resort, Punta Cana and Oscar de la Renta
Dominican fashion designer Oscar de la Renta signed a suite at Tortuga Bay resort in Punta Cana. His “sensibility is translated to the décor of a Caribbean beach resort with understated elegance. To harmonize with the exotic surroundings, de la Renta selected natural wicker and wood furnishings beautifully upgraded with Frette linens.”
Schlosshotel im Grunewald, Berlin and Karl Lagerfeld
Everyone know Karl Lagerfeld is an ecletic man and that is reflected in his designs. Lagerfeld restaured the Schlosshotel im Grunewald and gave it his own touch. “The 54-room property, located just outside of Berlin in one of its most exclusive suburbs, was built a century ago as a palace for one of Kaiser’s confidantes and advisors.”
